Reuben Amorim burst out laughing nottingham forest Boss Sean Dyche claims he will win more matches as Manchester United manager as the pair prepare to face off.
Under-fire Arne Slott does not believe Liverpool’s sixth defeat in seven games has put more pressure on his team ahead of this weekend’s clash with Aston Villa.
Sheffield Wednesday players and staff have been paid a day early after administrators took control of the struggling club.
Amorim rejects Dyche’s criticism
Ruben Amorim has mocked Nottingham Forest boss Sean Dyche’s claims that he would have won more matches as Manchester United manager as the pair prepare to face off.
saturday’s Premier League The visit to the City Ground coincides with the one-year anniversary of the Portuguese’s appointment as Eric Ten Hag’s successor.
Amorim was unable to oversee an immediate improvement as United slipped to 15th in the Premier League and lost the Europa League final, leading to criticism from all and sundry.
Dyche was one of the first to comment about the Portuguese’s set-up, saying in May that he could have won more matches if he had been in charge by simply playing a 4–4–2 formation.
Amorim dismissed those comments before facing the recently appointed Forest boss, saying: “First of all, maybe it is true that if we play 4-4-2 we have won more games.
“But I have always said that I have a way of playing that will take some time and then it will get better in the future, so we don’t know.
“Then I can see sean dyche As a manager and then as a pundit. If you’re a pedant and don’t say very strong things, I don’t want to see you! I am the same.
“So, I can understand that it’s a completely different job and I know Sean Dyche is really smart, and he knows how to play the game.”
but no extra pressure liverpool After losing run, slots say
Under-fire Arne Slott does not believe Liverpool’s sixth defeat in seven games has put more pressure on his team ahead of this weekend’s clash with Aston Villa.
The Premier League champions bounced back from a shoot-out defeat to Crystal Palace in the Community Shield to win seven consecutive matches in all competitions.
But that run came to a halt with a late defeat to the Eagles at Selhurst Park a month ago, leaving the Reds in a position they have yet to climb out of.
Palace beat Liverpool for the third time this season in a 3-0 Carabao Cup fourth-round win at Anfield on Wednesday as a decision to leave out slot stars and make 10 changes backfired.
The Dutchman said he had no regrets despite his latest defeat and rejected suggestions it had added to the pressure ahead of the Premier League’s return to form at home to Villa on Saturday.
“I don’t think it’s possible if you lose five out of six there’s going to be even more pressure after six out of seven,” Slott said.
“If you’re in a race for results like this, if you play for Liverpool, if you manage Liverpool, you know there’s pressure and I don’t think that’s changed much after this defeat.
“But if that happened then probably the most positive thing about tonight was the situation we were in, 2-0 down and we weren’t really pushing for a goal because we weren’t able to, the fans were behind the team, supporting us.”

Sheffield Wednesday players and staff have been paid a day early after administrators took control of the struggling club.
Payments have been delayed in five of the last seven months due to the Championship side’s financial problems, but that pattern has been broken with the Owls now under the control of administrator Chris Wigfield.
Henrik Pedersen’s team have been handed a 12-point deduction for being placed in receivership, leaving them 16 points shy of safety at minus six, but with supporters now ending their boycott of the club – which was put in place in protest against former owner Dejfon Chansiri – there are signs a corner has been turned.
A club statement said: “This is a major step towards stabilizing the club’s operations and rebuilding trust internally and with our supporters.
“We couldn’t have achieved this without the incredible support of you Wednesdayans.
“Your return to Hillsborough, the increase in merchandise and ticket sales and your continued belief in the club has made this possible.”
The Sheffield Wednesday Supporters Trust also confirmed a commitment of £20,000 to support the club, as well as launching a crowdfunding campaign to help get the Owls back on their feet.
