French President Macron says France will recognize Palestine as a state

Paris (AP) – French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Thursday that France would recognize Palestine as a state, amidst global anger snowballing on hungry people in Gaza.

Macron said in a post on X that it would formally form the decision in the United Nations General Assembly in September. “Today the important thing is that the war stops in Gaza and the civilian population survives.
