Chennai, Nov 2 (IANS) Free coaching classes for candidates preparing for Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) Group 1, 2, 2A and 4 examinations will begin in Chennai from Sunday.

Launched ahead of the expected announcement of the 2026 TNPSC Recruitment Programme, the initiative aims to provide quality guidance and support to candidates from marginalized and economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

The program is being organized by Ambedkar Education and Employment Training Center in collaboration with All India Insurance Employees Association and Tamil Nadu Prohibition Abolition Morcha.

Over the past 14 years, this government-sponsored initiative has helped more than 1,300 candidates secure places in both state and central government services.

According to the organizers, the classes are open to candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and economically weaker sections of all communities.

The sessions will be conducted every Saturday and Sunday from 9.30 am to 4.45 pm at the training center in Chennai. The weekend sessions are designed to help candidates cover the TNPSC syllabus systematically and gain a better understanding of the exam structure.

The coaching will include lectures from experienced trainers, interactive group discussions and model tests simulating real exam situations.

The organizers said that these methods have continuously improved the confidence and analytical skills of the candidates, helping them perform better in competitive exams.

“The focus is not just on completing the curriculum but on ensuring conceptual clarity and practical understanding,” the organizers said in a joint statement.

He said that this initiative has been especially beneficial for first generation graduates and those unable to afford private coaching.

Interested candidates can register directly at the center by bringing passport size photograph and valid address proof. Organizers said entry will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

The training center named after Dr. BR Ambedkar has been instrumental in promoting education and employment opportunities among the deprived sections of the society.

With the upcoming TNPSC recruitment cycle expected to attract thousands of applicants across Tamil Nadu, the organizers hoped that this free coaching initiative will provide a level playing field for eligible candidates.
