Wanting to be active before a potential undisputed fight, Parker planned a fight with Wardley and suffered the most serious consequences, being controversially stopped by the underdog in the 11th round.
According to Warren, Wardley can now potentially take the biggest step of his career in fighting Usyk for all the marbles – completing his “Cinderella story”.
Warren explained, “As far as Fabio is concerned, it’s a bit of a Cinderella story.” “When you look at his background – he came in with no amateur experience and steps up a level every time he fights. [He’s] Learning on the job, and it has worked brilliantly.
