France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore and Spain have the most powerful passports in the world. By allowing visa-free entry to 194 global destinations, these countries have grabbed the top spot in the latest henley passport index,
These countries are followed by Finland, the Netherlands, South Korea and Sweden, which have visa-free access to 193 countries.
With visa-free access to 62 countries, India is ranked 85th in the indexWhich ranks 199 passports based on their strength.
Indians have visa-free access to popular tourist destinations such as Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. Let us tell you that India has slipped one place compared to last year’s 84th position.
The country lags behind countries like South Africa (55th), Maldives (58th), Saudi Arabia (63rd), China (64th), Thailand (66th), Indonesia (69th) and Uzbekistan (84th).
India’s neighboring countries like Pakistan are ranked 106th in the index, while Sri Lanka is ranked 101st, Bangladesh 102nd and Nepal 103rd.
With visa-free access to 192 countries, the United Kingdom ranks third in the index along with Luxembourg, Ireland, Denmark and Austria.
They are followed by three European countries—Belgium, Norway and Portugal—who occupy the fourth position among the 191 countries with visa-free access.
The top 5 spots in the index are occupied by Australia, Greece, Malta, New Zealand and Switzerland, which have visa-free access to 190 countries.
One of the most immigrant-friendly countries in the world, Canada ranks sixth along with its neighbor the United States and two European countries Poland and Czechia.
The US, Canada, Poland and Czechia rank sixth in the index after visa-free access out of 189 countries.
The index ended with Afghanistan ranked 109th. With the weakest passport in the world, Afghanistan has visa-free access to 28 countries.
Countries like Syria (108th), Iraq (107th), Yemen (105th) and Palestine (103rd) are ranked above Afghanistan.
