Achieving the perfect hairstyle for the party season often proves challenging.
From maintaining a pristine slicked-back pony to making sure to keep tangled hair out of the way, keeping your hair in place throughout the evening is a common dilemma.
This winter, trending looks strike a balance: neither exaggerated nor overly comfortable, they are simultaneously glamorous as well as comfortable.
To master these styles, two of the industry’s most sought-after hairstylists elaborate on the four defining trends of festival hair and offer advice on how to pull them off.
1. Sultry Side Part
Center-partings have been trending since the 2010s with sweeping side parts sarang Out (excuse the word).
But recently from celebrities Scarlett Johansson The side part is being brought back for Zoe Kravitz – needless to mention bella hadid And the rest of the Angels are playing side parts in this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
Yes, it seems that banging volume is back and the flat, middle-parted look of recent years is out.
But the biggest challenge is to keep it looking shiny British Drizzle.
global hair stylist tom smithMember of the British Beauty Council Hair Committee and Co-Founders salon ageIt is said that the key is preparation.
“The final preparation for a deep side parting is a styling powder,” he says. “Evo Haze is my favorite choice which is sprayed directly into the roots and is invisible to the eye, but gives strong hold and control to the hair while maintaining volume and a natural-looking finish.”
Smith says he likes to use this spray on hair that tends to split or split, or on hair that has a tendency to break and fall out.
It’s also important to avoid humidity, according to celebrity stylist Jason Collier, founder of studio23Says: “I like to use a small amount of Oribe Anti-Humidity Spray and lightly apply it to the partings and roots when the hair is still a little damp – it gives you a humidity shield where you need it most.
“Once I’ve styled, I lock it in with Philip Kingsley’s Flexible Hold Mist,” explains Collier.[Then] Your part stays sharp, sculpted and lifted all night long.

2. Bedhead texture
Additionally, in reaction to last year’s polished hairstyles, bedhead textures and messy waves are a major trend for this party season.
Seen on the runway from prada For McQueen – a messier, lived-in look is the way to go for the upcoming party season.
But to make sure you don’t look like you just rolled out of bed, Smith recommends creating the shape before adding texture.
“It’s important to intentionally create texture before applying texture spray,” he says.[Use] “Use a curling iron to create movement in the hair before lightly spraying the texture spray.”
He also suggests using gravity when spraying for airy lift.
Collier says it’s important to have your technique imperfect. Starting with a light moisturizing cream as your base (so as to avoid frizz), “use tongs only on random sections.

3. 1960s hair fall
The retro flick – especially on bobs and mid-length cuts – is one of the most wearable statement styles this season, loved Molly-Mae Hague And Lana Del Rey.
Instead of a rigid bouffant and tight curls, modern sixties The ends of the flick have a soft, bouncy movement while the roots remain smooth.
“The sixties “The flick is iconic, but the modern version is all about a soft curve rather than a hard flip,” says Collier. Avoid too much volume at the crown. […] Keep the roots smooth and let there be drama at the edges.
Smith suggests adding volume by using a round brush and a hairdryer as opposed to a dedicated tool.
“A small round brush can encourage external shock [at the ends]” explains Smith.

4. Bow on the ponytail
Like the voluminous ‘dos of the sixties, a sky high pony is also in trend this season, and the best way to dress it up is with a bow.
choice of versace Ponytails and half-up-half-down ‘dos sent hairbows down the runway.
Smith’s advice is to avoid anything timid. “I recommend either a small bow or an oversized bow – it keeps it high fashion rather than ‘twee’.
“Choose silk, velvet or a material that looks shiny and modern.”
And when wearing a bow with a ponytail, Collier says to fix the updo with a simple hairband first.
“This allows the bow to act as decoration rather than needing to be functional,” he says.
“For a chic, adult vibe, I love pairing a velvet or satin bow with a super-sleek low pony.
“For a high ponytail, place the bow slightly above the elastic to lengthen the silhouette.”
