Four children of a family drown while bathing in the pond in Saran, Bihar

Patna, 23 September (IANS) A heartbreaking incident came to light on Tuesday under Gadkha police station area of ​​Saran district in Foorspur Chandwar, where four children of an extended family drowned while bathing in a pond.

The accident occurred in Maricha Tikha village of Makinpur Panchayat, causing grief and shock to the entire village.

According to the police, the victims have been identified as Ashish Kumar (14), son of Inspector Singh, Munna Kumar (11), son of Mansashi Lal Singh, Ankush Kumar (11) and Krishna alias Kariman Kumar (13) son.

All four were closely related cousins.

Family members said that the children had gone to the pond to bathe on Tuesday afternoon and accidentally wandered into a deep part of the water.

One after the other, they slipped and could not be saved under the surface.

As soon as the news spreads, nervousness and anarchy caught the village. Unhappy relatives repeatedly fainted, and the villagers became helpless.

Gadkha police station officer Shashi Ranjan Kumar and Circle Officer Nilly Yadav along with divers and local volunteers reached the spot.

After several hours of intensive discovery, the divers recovered all four bodies.

After the completion of legal formalities, the remains were sent to Sadar Hospital for the post -mortem examination.

Villagers said that the pond is deep and lacks protective obstacles or warning signs, making it dangerous for children, elderly individuals and women.

He has urged the administration to urge them to implement safety measures like fencing, signage and regular patrolling to prevent future tragedies.

The heart -breaking disadvantage has silenced the entire community with grief.

Despite consolving the words of neighbors and officials, the family remain inconsistent on the sudden deaths of their young loved ones.

A complaint has been lodged at Garkha Police Station. Authorities have recommended adequate compensation to the families of the deceased. Under a provision, the state government provides cash of Rs 4 lakh to each family members of the deceased.
