Ace Frehley, Guitarist and founding member Of rock group kissIs dead. He was 74 years old.
The musician suffered a fall at home in September, and tmz Earlier today it was reported that he had suffered a brain hemorrhage due to which he has been put on life support.
His death was announced by his family. in a statement to rolling stoneThey said: “We are completely devastated and heartbroken. In his final moments, we were fortunate enough to be able to surround him with love, care, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth.
“We cherish all of his best memories, his laugh, and celebrate the strength and kindness he gave to others. The magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions, and beyond comprehension. Reflecting all of his incredible life accomplishments, Ace’s memory will live on forever!”
Frehley’s tour manager John Ostrowski shared via Facebook on September 25 that the musician had suffered a “minor collapse” and would have to cancel upcoming tour dates.
A subsequent update to Frehley’s official page on October 6 announced: “Due to some ongoing medical issues, Ace has made the difficult decision to cancel his remaining 2025 dates.”

Frehley was born Paul Daniel Frehley on April 27, 1951 in The Bronx, New York City. He received his first guitar as a Christmas gift in 1964 at the age of 13.
He played in several bands in New York before answering an advertisement placed by rhythm guitarist Paul Stanley in 1972, bassist gene simmons and drummer Peter Criss, who was looking for a lead guitarist. They got the job and by January 1973 became a four-piece who named you,
Between 1974 and 1975, Kiss released three albums (Kiss, hotter than hell And dressed to kill) which created a cult of fans who called themselves the “Kiss Army”.
Their mainstream commercial success came with the 1975 live album alive!which went four times platinum and gave the band their first Top 40 hit with a live version of the previous single “Rock and Roll All Night”. Frehley’s crazy game continues alive! Would become an important influence on a generation of young guitarists.

In 1978, all four members of the band released solo records of the same name and Frehley became the biggest seller. He wrote three songs for the band’s 1979 album dynasty and the other three for the 1980s unmasked,
Frehley found himself sidelined in the early 1980s, as Chris left the band and Stanley and Simmons formed a stronger unit. He was replaced by guitarist Vinnie Vincent on the band’s 1982 “Creatures of the Night” tour.
Frehley formed his own band, Frehley’s Comet, in 1984. They released a self-titled album and a follow-up album in 1987, second darshanIn 1988.
In 1996, Frehley and Chris rejoined Kiss for a successful reunion tour. The original line-up released a new album, psycho circusin 1998. Frehley’s final performance with the band was at the closing ceremony of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah.
