Former US President Biden diagnosed the “aggressive form” of prostate cancer

Former US President Joe Biden has revealed an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer, which has spread to his bones, according to a statement on Sunday (local time).

According to the statement, the diagnosis followed the discovery of a prostate nodule, when he reported deteriorating the symptoms of urine, with a test of 9 (grade group 5) with a glyson score of 9 (grade group 5), confirming a high-grade cancer, indicating metastasis to the bone.

“Last week, the President Joe Biden was seen for a new discovery of a prostate nodule after increasing the symptoms of urine. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, which featured the Glesson score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis,” said in the statement.

Despite the severity, the cancer is reportedly hormone-sensitive, which can allow for effective treatment.

“While it represents the more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer seems to be hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective management,” the statement further reads.

“The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with their physicians,” said this.
