Senior National Conference (NC) leader and former member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Karni-Tangdhar, Kafale Ur Rehman, joined the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (JKPDP) in Srinagar on Sunday.
JKPDP President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti welcomed Rehman to Guna of the party, called him “a leader committed to Karna”, who “fulfills his people’s aspirations.”
Welcoming him on social media, JKPDP wrote, “His joining strengthens our resolve for a joint, reputed and rich Jammu and Kashmir.”
Rahman worked as a member of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly for three consecutive times (1996, 2002, and 2008), who represents the Karna constituency in Kupwara district.
He was also appointed as the Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Pahari Advisory Board during his tenure with Nekan.
