A few days after resigning from Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), former Member (MLA) of the Legislative Assembly Muhammad Amin Bhat is all set to re -include the Congress on Wednesday.
Sources told the news agency -Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Bhat is expected to join the party tomorrow.
Bhat’s reconsideration is likely to strengthen the Congress’s presence in South Kashmir. In the last assembly elections, the Congress won two seats in the region, and BHAT’s return is expected to further promote the party’s efforts.
In the last assembly election, Nekan won 11 out of 16 seats in the region. The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) won two seats, while an independent candidate claimed.
