Ottawa – Former Liberal Justice Minister David Lamti started his new job in Mark Carney’s Prime Minister’s Office on Monday.
Lamti posted on LinkedIn, to confirm his beginning date as the Principal Secretary of Carney, a top political ally position.
Carney’s new Chief of Staff, former United Nations Ambassador Mark-Andre Blancard made his role in his role earlier.
Lamti, Blanchard and Privy Council clerk Michael Sabia Carney has major fares in Inner Circle.
Sabia is a former Deputy Minister of Finance and was the President and CEO of Hydro-Kubebac before taking over as the head of the civil service.
He sent a letter to public service on Monday, warned that some internal government processes have become very complicated and are telling public servants that they should focus on the priorities of the government.
