Moeen Ali Ending his retirement from English domestic cricket, joining yorkshire Blast-only contract through 2026 season.

The former England all-rounder, who turns 39 in June, played in the same tournament for Warwickshire last year and has been spending the winter on the franchise circuit.

Two-time World Cup-winning white-ball specialist Moeen has signed a contract that includes an option to extend until 2027.

“I’m delighted to be joining Yorkshire for the Blasters. It’s a big club with a proud history but what really attracts me is the direction the team is going in,” said Maughan.

“I’ve always loved playing at Headingley – the wickets, the atmosphere and the supporters make it a special place.

“It feels like a new challenge and I’m eager for it. I want to bring my experience, enjoy my cricket and help Yorkshire compete.”
