“Innovation returns power in the hands of people, making everyday interaction fast, easier and more secure. We are distributing public services to the plan for change by working for all.”
Technology will already use security features manufactured in modern smart phones, including facial identification checks, when people pay using digital bank cards.
The government said that this means that digital documents would be more secure, even if a device is lost.
By the end of 2027, Gov.uk Wallet will include DBS check and documents such as every other credentials issued by the government.
Traditional physical documents will still be available.
Science Secretary Peter Kyle said, “CDS along with CDS, Walkman and Flip Phone, overflowing drawer rubbed with government letters and the hours spent to get a basic appointment will be handed over to history soon,” said Science Secretary Peter Kyle.
“Gov.uk Wallet will mean that every letter or identity document received from the government can be really released to you.

The government said that when people open a new app in this summer for the first time, they will be able to create a personal homepage of services by answering a handful of simple questions.
Future additions for the app include AI-Interactive Chatbott, Gov.UK chat, methods and ways to pay about services.
People will be asked such questions such as if you own a car, it means that you can choose to see information about receiving a MOT or applying for road tax.
In the future, the app will also mean that users can immediately cancel a stolen passport, find a training or apply for profit from the Gov.uk app.
It will be available on I.OS and Android, with a digital experienced card will be made available to former service personnel later this year.
