Temple officials have confirmed the scale and sanctity of Tuesday’s ceremony.

Giving an insight into the role of the Prime Minister in the Ram Mandir movement, Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, Treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said, “The Prime Minister may be the head of the government, but he has always been a dedicated pracharak of the RSS. PM Modi and the party through which he came to power had a clear objective, that the temple should be built and he has fulfilled that mission.”
He further added, “Whenever we met the Prime Minister, he always spoke respectfully, asking about our ideas and suggestions. Because we trust him and value his intelligence for our work, we often asked him for guidance, and whenever we asked, he gave us direction.”
Ahead of the flag hoisting, the Municipal Corporation of Ayodhya has decorated the dividers with flower petals in preparation for the huge vehicle procession on Tuesday.
Gopal Rao, a special invitee member of the trust, said preparations are in full swing: “Tomorrow, there will be a formal marriage of Ram and Janaki, with programs taking place in the evening. To prepare for tomorrow’s ceremony, we will hold a symbolic celebration this year and plan to celebrate it with full grandeur next year.”
He added details of the ongoing rituals: “For the flag hoisting ceremony tomorrow, havan has been going on at the Yagyamandap for the last four days. Around 100 priests are performing the rituals, while 30 patrons are sitting at various designated places to participate in the ceremonies. Following the announcement by the temple authorities, darshan for devotees has been restricted from Sunday evening to facilitate preparations atop the temple peak.
