Advertised as a luxury concert, the Fire Festival 2 was scheduled to take place in Mexico from 30 May to 2 June. Its purpose was as the successor of the Fail Fire Festival held in 2017.

Next month’s program tickets went on sale in February this year. Billy McFarland, who was behind the early Fair Festival and later faced a prison sentence, took to social media to announce the new program.

McFarland said in a statement, “I am sure many people think I am crazy to do so again. But I think I will go crazy not to do it again. After the year’s reflection and now the thoughtful, new team and I have amazing plans for Fire 2.”

“Adventure seekers who rely and jump on vision will help in making history.”

A website was also launched for the incident, where anyone could buy tickets and hospitality packages. Ticket prices were shocked, ranging from Rs 1.2 lakh ($ 1,400) to Rs 9.5 crore ($ 1.1 million) – for the highest level of luxury to the highest level.

Although no artist was confirmed to perform at the event, Quintana Ruo Tourism Department and Playa del Carmen Sarkar with officials in Mexico said that there was no “that was going to have any incident”.

Festive disaster

The 2017 version of the fire was the brainchild of McFarland and Rapper JA Rules. Both advertised the event as a “cultural experience of the decade”, but when the Revellers arrived at the Bahamanian Island of Exumm, they got cheese cheese sandwiches, disaster relief-style tents and no music-after paying thousands of dollars to get the part.

In particular, the festival promo campaign was to party on boats such as Bela Hadid and Emily Ratajkovski. McFarland promised passengers that they would be able to party with the supermodel, but would provide an annoying experience. Many festivals posted pictures on social media of the Sambolic scenes, which were pioneers for high prices online.
