The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on Friday told the Supreme Court that it will submit its inquiry report within a week on a petition seeking protection of religious structures at Delhi’s Mehrauri Archaeological Park. The court will hear the case in February

Petition expresses concerns over demolition
In a petition filed in the high court, people feared that Dargah and Chillagah in Mehrauli will soon be demolished by the Delhi Development Authority. The petition mentions the demolition of the 600-year-old Akhonji Mosque. The court, on behalf of government authorities, was told that no protected monument or national monument would be demolished. The matter has since been settled in the High Court.
High Court order challenged in Supreme Court
