The Doda Police has registered an FIR (No. 111/2025) against Doda resident Haq Nawaz Nehru, which is to make irresponsible statements on social media in violation of the prohibitive orders issued by the district administration.
The FIR has been lodged under Section 223 of the Joint Code of India (BNS), which is for comment for comments made in the violation of District Magistrate’s order number 980-89/DM/DODA, dated 3 May, 2025. Order strictly prevent individuals, groups, digital platforms, or organizations, through public or print, electronic or social media – to maintain public system.
Officials have reiterated their commitment to preserve peace and communal harmony in the district. He has also issued a strict warning that strict action will be taken against someone in violation of such instructions.
