Fighting: Brawl breaks out outside Amity University in Noida, police launch investigation

According to reports, a video of a brawl outside Noida’s Amity University campus in Sector 126 went viral on social media on Saturday, prompting police to launch a probe into the matter hindustan times.

In the video, a group of men can be seen slapping, punching and kicking each other. In the video, a man can be seen grabbing a utensil from a nearby shop and attacking another man.

According to sources, a fight broke out between the two student groups that escalated within two hours. However, the reason behind the altercation is not yet clear.

The conflict in and around Amity University Noida is not new. About 10 days ago, another video from outside the school went viral on the Internet. In the video, a student of the school was attacked by a suspected carjacker wielding a stick, causing serious injuries. Two suspects have reportedly been arrested in connection with the attack.

Meanwhile, a scuffle broke out between the RSS-affiliated ABVP and Left support groups late on Friday night at a meeting on the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus for the students union polls, with both sides claiming that some members were injured.

Although the warring sides blamed each other for the unrest, there was no immediate reaction from the Jinan University government.

The student body clashed during the University General Body Meeting (UGBM) held at Sabarmati Dhaba on campus to elect members of the Election Committee for the 2024 JNUSU elections.

The left-wing Democratic Students Federation (DSF) alleged that Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) members were hampering UGBM by violating Dias and heckling council members and spokespersons.

In a video shared by both groups on social media, ABVP and Jinan University Students Union members can be seen arguing amid shouting and slogans as university security personnel tried to control the situation.
