Fifth ‘Aarmbh Library’s to Open in Vikaspuri Sound: Delhi Raj Niwas

New Delhi, 21 September (IANS) Delhi Raj Nawad shared pictures of an upcoming ‘start library’ in Vikaspuri in West Delhi on Sunday, presenting the details of the facilities to be offered in the public reading room by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).

In a message on X, LG’s Secretariat said, “‘Start’ Library – Open in Vikaspuri soon! Focus, your 24×7 affordable study place for learning and development. Step at any time and start the journey!”

The message was associated with a picture of the construction building of the library in Block-M Vikaspuri, which will be the fifth such reading rooms to be launched in the city.

The message stated that the library will have a seating capacity of 60 students daily in an eight -hour shift, it will be 24×7 operational and will complete students from areas like Vikaspuri, Janakpuri, Rajouri Garden, Tilak Nagar, Paschim Vihar and other areas.

The initiative launched by LG was proposed by LG after a tragic incident in Old Rajendra Nagar in July last year, where a flood, tight basement claimed the lives of three young civil service candidates.

The first start library was inaugurated in January 2025 at Old Rajendra Nagar. This was followed by second library in Edchini village of South Delhi and third in July this year in Sector -16B, Dwarka.

On September 17, on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday – Seva Diwas is celebrated – Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena inaugurated the fourth ‘beginning library’ at Rohini.

Addressing a gathering at its launch, LG said, “Today is an auspicious day because the nation is celebrating service on the occasion of our visionary leader Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.”

He said, “Start initiative tries to provide students safe, safe and prestigious places to pursue their dreams, especially for those who come to Delhi from all over the country with aspirations to manufacture their career. Initiatives like the beginning will support them in achieving their goals,” he said.

He further stated that with each new library, we are not only making a study place, but also nurturing hope and strengthening the knowledge capital of Delhi. He said, “I congratulate the DDA and assure the people of Delhi, especially the younger generation, that we will continue such initiatives in the future also.”

In G-Block, Sector-11, Rohini, it developed under the guidance of state-of-the-art reading room, LG, working on round-the-lock in three shifts of eight hours. With the ability to accommodate more than 130 students per day in three shifts, it will be available at a nominal fee of Rs 1,000 per month per month.

The feature offers modular studies tables with different washrooms for integrated power sockets, high-speed Wi-Fi, Secure Locker, CCTV surveillance, comfortable seating, fully air-conditioned and well-burnt interiors and male and female students. A accessible toilet has also been provided.

Additionally, ‘Cafe Vardan’ has been introduced to serve light food and snacks, which gives students a place to relax and rejuvenate.
