Federal officials say the forecast of wildfire shows a high risk of high fire in August

Federal officials said on Friday that Ottawa – 2025 wildfire season is already one of the worst records for Canada and a high risk that more fire will break in August, federal officials said on Friday.

So far this year, more than 5.5 million hectares of land has been burnt, more than 10 years average for mid -July.

It is still behind the record fire season in 2023, when over 6,000 fire burned more than 15 million hectares of land.

Till Friday, 561 fire was burning, including 69 which were considered out of control.

Officials said the risk of fire usually increases in August and they are predicting higher temperatures for most countries of the country next month.

“This corresponds to climate change estimates, which suggests that the next five years (we) will be warm compared to the next five years (we),” said Sebastian Chainard said, director of operations at Canadian Meteorological Center.

August has also been slated to bring below normal rainfall levels for priries, BCs and meritimes.

Suskechewan has already seen one of the worst fire seasons in the case of a burnt area, and a record number of people from his homes in that province has been forced.

Australia, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Mexico and the United States are in Canada to help over 530 firefighters.
