Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari started a trouble-free highway journey on Wednesday, which is effective from 15 August 2025, a fastag-based annual pass priced at 3,000.

In a post on X, Nitin Gadkari wrote, “In a transformative step towards trouble-free highway travel, we are introduced a Fastag-based annual pass from 15 August 2025, 3,000. A Fastag-based annual pass. Activate is valid for one year from the date of activation or it is not already, which is ready for non-commercial vehicles.

“Annual pass will enable easy and cost-effective travel in national highways across the country. A dedicated link for activation and renewal will soon be made available on the Rajmarg Yatra app as well as the official websites of NHAI and MRTH.” Reads the post.

“This policy addresses long -standing concerns about toll plaza located within a 60 km range and simplifies toll payments through a single, inexpensive transaction. To give a fast and smooth travel experience to private vehicle owners, to reduce the crowd, reduce the crowd, and reduce disputes in the toll plaza.
