Fast X Trailer: Vin Diesel’s Family Battles Jason Momoa in Action-Packed Car Chases

Universal has unveiled the first trailer for “Fast X,” the tenth film in the popular “Fast & Furious” franchise. The trailer introduces Jason Momoa and Brie Larson as new cast members, both portraying villains named Dante and Tess respectively. The film also welcomes back the franchise regulars such as Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang and Scott Eastwood. Some returning characters include Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw, John Cena’s Jakob Toretto, Helen Mirren’s Magdalene “Queenie” Ellmanson-Shaw and Charlize Theron’s Cipher.

In the trailer, Momoa’s Dante is depicted as the latest adversary of Dom and his crew of street racers as they face danger with “the end of the road begins.” Dante has ties to the film “Fast Five,” as he is the son of Hernan Reyes, the drug kingpin whose life was ruined by the high-octane heist executed by Dom and Brian. Dante now threatens to tear the “Fast” family apart by playing on Dom’s greatest fear, which is losing someone he loves.

The film’s official synopsis states that Dante’s plan will scatter Dom’s family from Los Angeles to different parts of the world, including Rome, London, Brazil, Portugal, and Antarctica. New allies will be formed and old enemies will resurface, but everything changes when Dom discovers that his eight-year-old son is the ultimate target of Dante’s vengeance. Larson’s Tess, described as a “rogue representative from the Agency,” looks to be on the side of the Torettos. The film also features Michael Rooker, Daniela Melchior, Alan Ritchson and Rita Moreno, who plays Abuelita Toretto, Dom, Mia, and Jakob’s grandmother.

The film promises to bring back Statham’s Deckard Shaw, who must face the fact that he tried to kill Sung Kang’s Han. There will also be a major fight scene between Theron’s Cipher and Rodriguez’s Letty, as the two action stars engage in an epic showdown.
