Farmers' protest: Haryana policeman posted on the border dies due to deteriorating health

According to the police, his health suddenly deteriorated while on duty at Tohana border.

Chandigarh (Haryana):

Sub-Inspector Vijay Kumar of Haryana Police, posted at Tohana border after the farmers’ ‘Delhi Chalo’ march, died on Wednesday due to deteriorating health.

According to Haryana Police, Sub-Inspector Shri Kumar’s health suddenly deteriorated while on duty at Tohana border.

Haryana Police posted on Twitter, “Sub Inspector Vijay Kumar died late in the evening. Vijay Kumar was posted at Tohana border during the farmers’ movement. His health suddenly deteriorated while on duty. Director General of Police expressed grief.”

Haryana Police has also informed that so far three police officers have lost their lives in the ongoing protests by farmers.

Haryana Police also put an end to the news of death of farmers in the protest and posted on Twitter, “According to the information received so far, no farmer has died today. This is just a rumour. Two policemen and one death are reported. Protestors have been injured on the Data Singh-Khanauri border and are currently undergoing treatment.

Apart from this, the social media handle of Haryana Police also refuted the report of kidnapping of a farmer and posted on Twitter, “Haryana Police has kidnapped a farmer named Preet, son of Davinder Singh and resident of village Nava Gao district Sangrur. It’s fake news.” It is strictly prohibited at Khanauri border. He has been admitted to PGI Rohtak by Haryana Police for treatment and he is completely out of danger.”

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has sent an advisory to the Punjab government asking it to maintain law and order in view of the farmers’ agitation, sources said on Wednesday.

The advisory was issued as protesting farmers resumed their Delhi march after rejecting the Centre’s proposal to purchase pulses, maize and cotton crops through government agencies at minimum support price (MSP) for five years. Announced.

The Home Ministry took the step after a report estimated that over 14,000 people had gathered at the Punjab-Haryana border with 1,200 tractor-trolleys, 300 cars, 10 mini buses as well as small vehicles.

The Ministry has conveyed its strong objection to this to the Punjab Government and expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.

After the protesting farmers announced to continue the Delhi Chalo movement, Delhi Police has tightened security in the national capital and directed its personnel to ensure strict vigil at Tikri, Singhu and Ghazipur borders.

Whereas, Haryana Police has asked the owners of excavators to remove their machines from the protest site, where the farmers are about to resume their march, otherwise they will be held responsible for action.
