strictly come dance fans have branded Lewis Cope’s exit The BBC’s popular reality show is having a “funny” run as it prepares for its semi-final.
Cope, 30, a former emmerdale The actor was booted from the show after dancing with a reality TV star during Sunday night’s results show (December 7) amber davis and professional partner Nikita Kuzmin.
Throughout his tenure on the show, Cope had earned considerable praise for his performances with his partner Katya Jones describing him as “one of, if not, the best male celebrity we’ve ever had on the show”.
Fans have criticized the decision to remove Cope from the show, with many criticizing Davis’ extensive previous experience on stage in musical theater productions.
Cope also made his debut on stage Billy Elliot: The MusicalHowever, he has rejected the claim that he has a special dance background – something like strictly Audience resentment among successful contestants has been increasing in recent years.

Speaking to presenter Tess Daly after the judge’s decision, Cope appeared to be in good spirits about his exit.

“It’s more than I ever imagined,” he said. “If someone had said I would have worked for 11 weeks at the beginning of the show, I would have been so happy and would have bitten their hand off.
“So, thank you for the whole show, thank you to everyone for creating a space where people can be themselves, grow, learn, express themselves. It’s incredible and a memory I’ll have for the rest of my life, and (to Katya) I think it’s all down to you.”
The four remaining couples will perform during next weekend’s semi-finals, which will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 6.35pm on Saturday and the results will be shown the following Sunday at 7.45pm.
