Kim Vo, a celebrity hairstylist who worked with stars including Kate Hudson, Gwyneth Paltrow and Britney Spears, has died at the age of 55.

Vo’s husband, Adeel Kahn, posted on Instagram on Saturday that Vo died in 2018 after being diagnosed with colorectal cancer.

“My beloved husband, best friend, and partner in life and business, Kim Vō, has taken her last breath,” Kahn wrote. “In 2018, he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, and under the care of Dr. Lawrence Piro and his incredible team at Angeles Clinic and Cedars-Sinai, he fought valiantly, winning many battles along the way and exceeding all medical expectations.”

Khan said his husband was “loved not only by his family and friends, but also by the global hairdressing community and millions of viewers who knew him for his artistry and passion.”

He added, “Kim had a rare ability to make everyone feel valued, welcome and at home.”

Khan asked people not to send flowers but to donate to the late stylist Kim Vo’s foundation “to support hair, beauty and fashion creatives who have also been affected by cancer.”

He shared the foundation’s initiative to help others diagnosed with colorectal cancer, which a recent study revealed has become Leading Cause of Cancer-Related Deaths Among U.S. adults under 50.

Vo is a famous colorist working with blondes In Hollywood, that includes celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Britney Spears, Kate Hudson, Uma Thurman, Tori Spelling and Paris Hilton.
