Facing cyber crimes for the priority of Hyderabad’s new Police Commissioner Sajjar

Hyderabad, September 30 (IANS) Senior IPS officer VC Sajjanar, who took over as the new Police Commissioner of Hyderabad on Tuesday, said he would give top priority to deal with cyber crimes and economic crimes.

After taking charge at the Integrated Command Control Center, she said that women safety will also be among her priorities.

Sajjanar, an IPS officer of the 1996 batch, had previously served as the Commissioner of Police of Cyberbad, said that he would play his role in making Hyderabad the number one city in the country.

Sajjanar was the Managing Director of the Director of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) before his appointment as Hyderabad Police Commissioner.

On the last day of his tenure as TGSRTC MD, he traveled in a city bus like an ordinary passenger. He paid the ticket through UPI and collected tickets from the conductor. Later, he interacted with fellow passengers during the journey.

Serving as a Cyberbad Commissioner, Sajjanar hit the national headlines in 2019 after four accused in the murder and murder of a female veterinarian.
