“It’s perfect that he gets his first season ticket from Heineken so he can continue to share his passion and enjoy the game with as many different people as possible.”
Burgess, who has £3,470 left of his £20k budget and only four days of unpaid annual leave left for the next four Grands Prix in Brazil, Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi, admitted that the season ticket presented “the opportunity of a lifetime”.
“It has always been a dream of mine to race in every F1 race in the same year,” he said. “It’s been a weird challenge – my full-time job and being on a limited budget has meant I’ve had to make some sacrifices such as visiting certain countries for only 24 hours, and running races alone.

“But it has also enabled me to connect with fans around the world – many of whom I still chat to. I never imagined that so many people would follow me when I started documenting my journey at the beginning of the year.
“And now to be recognized by a brand like Heineken and to be the holder of the world’s first season ticket to an F1 race is absolutely amazing.
“This is the opportunity of a lifetime and I can’t wait to take this journey even further next year and share the experience with other fans.”
The announcement came as F1 and Heineken signed a multi-year extension to their decade-long partnership. The iconic Dutch beer brand is the title sponsor of races in Brazil, Silverstone, Madrid, China and Las Vegas.
