The all-party delegation led by BJP MP Bajyant Panda in Saudi Arabia said that he discussed with members of Indian migrants in two days in Saudi officials, policy think tanks, media and Riyadh.
“We have held excellent discussions in Saudi Arabia. This is the third country that our delegation visited, and we had two all day discussed with senior government officials, with think tanks who play the role of shaping policy in Saudi Arabia, with media and Indian diaspora,” Panda told Thursday (local time).
Panda said that the discussions were open and direct, especially on terrorism, where the two countries share the attitude of zero-oppression.
He said, “We have had an independent and clear discussion about the terrorism challenge that comes before us. Saudi Arabia has a policy of zero-oppression towards terrorism, like us.
He also paid attention to Saudi Arabia, calling Saudi Arabia a major regional power and also focused on increasing India-Saudi relations in defense, terrorism, and business.
Panda said, “There has been a lot of development between Saudi Arabia and India, including defense cooperation, joint military exercises, security and counter -terrorism and a lot of development between Saudi Arabia and India. Saudi Arabia is very impressive in this part of the world.”
The delegation also visited Diriah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its traditional soil-brick architecture.
Additionally, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey said that the delegation held 7-8 meetings with Saudi officials, which re-confirming the close relationship, especially with 27 million Indians.
“We held 7-8 meetings. Saudi Arabia is as important for India as India has good relations with Saudi Arabia. 27 million Indians live in Saudi and work. Dubey said.
He said, “PM Narendra Modi was here when the Pahalgam attack took place, and Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the attack. It also believes that Pakistan is the only country in the world, whose army decides and controls the government.”
Former Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardan Shringla, who is also part of the delegation, said that the delegation met the Deputy Speaker of the Shura Parishad.
“The delegation met the deputy speaker of the Shura Council, which is the Saudi Parliament. The delegation held extensive talks with the Saudi Foreign Minister.
