Saying that the Government of India responded to the Pulwama attack with a surgical strike along with a Uri terrorist attack and for the Pulwama attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Saturday that ‘Operation Sindoor’ was another example of cross -border across the border.
According to the news agency-Kashmir News Observer (KNO), speaking at a public meeting in Kerala, as an example of the 2016 URI attack and 2019 Pulwama attack, how the government responded with military action. Shah said, “We responded to the Pulwama attack with Uri attacks and airstrikes with a surgical strike.”
He also cited “Operation Sindoor” as another example of cross -border across action, describing it as an example, where Indian forces entered the terrorist hideout and conducted a targeted operation. He said, “There is no place for terrorism anywhere. The BJP -led government will end it wherever it is present.”
He said that terrorism could not be done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and any other person other than BJP, and pointed to the previous operation in Jammu and Kashmir as evidence of that stance.
He also said that the government is working towards freeing India from Naxalism by 31 March, 2026. “This goal is part of a comprehensive national security strategy for the purpose of addressing internal threats,” he said.
The Home Minister criticized the opposition -led state governments, which he called the lack of effective action against extremist groups.
Without naming specific parties, he questioned his silence on the activities of restricted organizations and called for a national consent on security issues (KNO)
