Bangalore, 23 September (IANS) Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar, who also holds the Bengaluru Vikas Portfolio, shook a controversy, saying that even on the road in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there is also surrounded in Delhi.
He commented on Tuesday while talking to reporters about the pit -hit roads in Bengaluru. “We are all pits filling. It is raining, and every day, about a thousand pits are being filled in the city. I went to Delhi and traveling around the city. The media should see how the roads are also full of pits, including the road in front of the Prime Minister’s residence,” Shivkumar said.
“I am telling big IT companies that this is common in the whole country. The situation is not limited to Karnataka, and the media should not portray it such as pits are only present here. If good quality roads were built during BJP’s tenure, why would the pits appear on them?” He questioned.
He said, “They failed to return it, and now it seems that elections are coming. Let them say what they want; we will continue with our duties,” he said.
Shivkumar further said, “I am leaving for Bihar. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and I will attend the meeting of the extended Congress Working Committee on Wednesday. The meeting is called by AICC President Mallikrajun Kharge and the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. We will return the same flight after the meeting.”
Earlier, Shivkumar, except for the infrastructure of his bad road, facing the criticism of IT companies, said, “No one can threaten or blackmail the government. I will not stop anyone from leaving.”
The BJP had announced that the party would stage an hour -long road in all assembly constituencies across Karnataka including Bengaluru on 24 September to protest against the poor road infrastructure of the state.
Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy, for Heavy Industries and Steel, responded to the infrastructure situation of poor roads for shifting of IT companies from the city, saying, “The proud city of Bengaluru built by Nadprabhu Kempe Gowda has been given a serious blow for its reputation.
He slammed, “Industries are losing faith in Karnataka and migrating to neighboring states. They are waiting for this moment, offering a concession one after the other to attract them. This shameless government cannot even understand the gravity of the situation; its senses are numb.”
“For industries, my only appeal is: Do not leave Bangalore. This city bears a great heritage and rich heritage. We will teach a lesson to this thick-chammari government. We, people of Karnataka, stand firmly with you. Remove the idea of leaving with your mind: Together, we together, we began, we bengaluru,”
