Jaipur, Oct 29 (IANS) On the foundation day of Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP), party chief Hanuman Beniwal on Tuesday launched a strong attack on both the state and central governments during a mega rally at the Polytechnic College grounds in Bikaner.
Addressing a huge crowd of supporters, Beniwal accused the BJP government in Rajasthan of weakening the state on every front, and remarked that “even the fire god is angry.”
Beniwal said that cultivators are the true farmers, claiming that he will always stand with the farmers and will continue to fight for their rights.
“When it comes to the youth, I am committed to opposing the Agniveer scheme till the end,” he said.
Referring to his previous protests, he said, “When farmers were treated unfairly in Delhi, I gave up power and joined them on the streets. I have not changed – when I fight, I fight till the final stage, not till the semi-finals.”
Attacking Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Beniwal alleged that law and order in the state has deteriorated rapidly due to increasing crime and increasing threats of extortion to businessmen.
“The BJP government is protecting criminals and promoting officials who are promoting mafias. This is not a good start,” he said.
Beniwal also did not spare former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and claimed, “Earlier people used to say that Gehlot and Vasundhara are working together. Now it seems that Gehlot is with Bhajan Lal. The morale of the criminals has increased so much that they are even threatening the Chief Minister and police officers.”
He said that Rajasthan is number one in crime today – the public should ask who is responsible for this.
Speaking about youth issues, Beniwal reminded the audience of his 127-day long protest to cancel the fake police station in-charge recruitment, which ultimately forced the RPSC to take corrective action.
He urged the youth to stand up against “mafia rule” and announced that the next big rally of the RLP would be held in Marwar, marking the beginning of a “decisive fight against mining and land mafia”.
As soon as the program ended, Beniwal interacted directly with the crowd and asked, “Do you want to contest the Panchayat elections or not?”
The audience roared in response, “Yes, we will!”
After this he called upon the party workers of Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Barmer and Jodhpur to be prepared for the upcoming elections.
