Like the men, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has also announced the Future Tour Plan (FTP) for women, which has also seen some big decisions taken. In the Women’s Cricket FTP 2025-2029 announced by the International Cricket Council, it has also been decided to provide a window for the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s Women’s Premier League (WPL). With this decision by the International Cricket Federation, more foreign players will now be able to participate in the tournament. Apart from this, ICC has also conceded two other leagues in its FTP.
The ICC also gave way to the Women’s Big Bash League and Women’s The Hundred.
Apart from the BCCI’s Women’s Super League, the ICC has also provided separate windows in its future tour plans for the Women’s Hundreds in England and Cricket Australia’s Women’s Big Bash League. At the same time, the ICC has also decided to expand the scale of the Women’s ODI Championship to provide more help for the development of women’s cricket. The 2026 Women’s Premier League (WPL) season will be played separately from January to February. Therefore, no other T20 league will be held at that time. The ICC ceded the spot to the Women’s Big Bash League in the November window, while the Women’s Hundred got its spot in the August window.
