Esha Deol to join politics after divorce from Bharat Takhtani? Hema Malini says ‘she’s interested’

Actor-turned-politician Hema Malini said her daughter, actor Esha Deol, is also interested in politics. Hema, who is currently a member of the Janata Dal from Mathura, recently revealed the same while talking about her family’s support. Interestingly, this comes just days after Esha Deol announced her separation from husband Bharat Tahtani.

Hema Malini recently spoke to ABP News about her husband Dharmendra’s support for her as a politician. “My family has always been with me,” the veteran actress said, before adding, “I have been able to do this because of them. They are taking care of my house in Mumbai, so it was easy for me to come to Mathura. I came and went back. Dharam ji was very happy with everything I did, so he supported me and he also came to Mathura.”

When asked if her daughters Esha and Ahana are also interested in joining politics, Hema Malini said, “If they want to.” However, she later revealed that Esha may join politics in the coming years, Because she seemed interested. “Esha is very much inclined towards this. She enjoys doing it. There will be many in the coming years, and if she is interested, she will definitely (enter politics),” Hema added.

Interestingly, at the same time, Esha Deol is also making headlines for her divorce from husband Bharat Takhtani. The pair married in 2012 but announced their separation earlier this month after 11 years together. They released a joint statement and revealed they had decided to part ways “mutually and amicably.”

“We have mutually decided to part ways amicably. The best interests and well-being of our two children are of the utmost importance to us through this transition in our lives. We hope that our privacy will be respected,” their statement read. Esha and Bharat are parents to their daughters Radhya and Miraya, aged six and four respectively.
