Rebecca Gayheart has spoken out about her current relationship with her estranged husband Eric Dane months later His ALS diagnosis revealed,
Speaking on Monday’s episode of broad idea podcast, the actor said he continues to support gray’s anatomy alum – who announced in April who he is Diagnosed with an incurable condition that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord and causes increasing muscle paralysis over time. – Being a role model for her two daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13.
,[I tell them]’No matter what happens, he’s our family and he’s your dad,'” Gayheart said. “We show up, and we try to do it with some dignity and some grace and do it as best we can.”
“This is extremely complicated for me. We’ve been separated for eight years,” he said, referring to her decision to file for divorce in 2018 before filing for a dismissal in March. “The kids are with me 100 percent of the time. There’s a lot of other stuff too. However, I’m trying to stay optimistic about it all.”
Despite not knowing whether she is handling the situation “in the wrong or right way”, Gayheart explained that she is trying her best to be there for her daughters and help them spend as much time as possible with their father.

“I just want to make sure that I provide them with the opportunity to spend time with him, so that they never look back [and wish they did more],” He said.
“I really want to make sure to help facilitate for them the stuff that I’m doing. I don’t know what their takeaway will be. I know it’s extremely complicated right now for a lot of reasons.”
Talked openly about his health in an article with People In April, Dane said that despite his diagnosisHe will still star in season three of HBO’s Euphoria, where he plays Cal Jacobs.
“I have been diagnosed with ALS. I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we move forward in this next chapter,” he told the publication. “I feel fortunate to be able to continue working and look forward to returning [the] aggregate Excitement Next week. I humbly request you to please give me and my family privacy during this time.”
Dane has continued to work on new projects following his diagnosis, including a recently announced guest-starring role. he is about to appear on nbc show brilliant mindWill air on November 24. Dane will play Matthew, a firefighter struggling to share his ALS diagnosis with his family.
