Chennai, 6 October (YS) AIADMK General Secretary and Opposition leader Edappadi. Palaniswaki (EPS) on Monday told the Dasha government at a rally at Stamp’s Tamilaga Vetrica (TVK) rally at Stamp at a rally at StampK at TVK at TVK that TVK was called TVK TVK TV.
In a strong statement statement, EPS stated that eyewitness testimony and detailed media reports have no doubt that the tragedy was caused by administrative failure and political negligence.
“If the government took proper precautions and took over the incident responsibly, these deaths could have been avoided,” he said.
Palaniswami raised several questions from Chief Minister MK Stalin and Home Department.
He questioned the decision to allow an uncontrolled flow of people in the already crowded region, despite the late running of the incident.
“Basic security and emergency protocols were ignored. The victims said that a power cut was done which triggered nervousness. Why was there no power backup? Did the police and district administration operate any security reviews or schemes, medical support and withdrawal routes?” He asked.
He was rapidly important to police response, citing eyewitness videos that show inadequate deployment and slow reaction, as the crowd was swollen for hours.
“Why did the police stand from 10 am to 7 pm, because the situation had worsened? Who did not order them to intervene?” EPS asked in the official edition pointing to discrepancies.
EPS ADGP (Law and Order) S. Davidson Devasiravatham’s claim also targeted that one police personnel were posted for each 20 attendees.
“ADGP initially stated that 500 police were on duty, but later refrained from giving an accurate number. View evidence denied the claim of adequate appearance,” he said.
Condemning the DMK government for trying to blame the government, Palaniswami urged to accept it moral and administrative responsibility. He said, “These are not rumors – they are the voice of the remaining people, eyewitnesses and even police personnel. They cannot be silenced or denied. These 41 people were lost not for fate but for official apathy and negligence,” he said, completely accountable and a transparent investigation, which led to a tragedy.
