Eminem recently announced the release of his upcoming album, but when impatient fans started pushing him, Slim put them back where they were.
Considering it’s been four years since Em’s last album, fans have been on edge ever since Dr. Dre made the announcement on Em’s behalf. Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this month.
But with no official word from Eminem himself, fans began demanding an update.
In response to increasing pressure, Eminem surprised fans by dropping his album on April 1, 2024.
The album’s trailer begins with a screenshot of social media being flooded with impatient fan comments such as “Dear Slim, throw away this damn album” and “Throw away this album grandpa.”
Suddenly, Eminem appears in a spacesuit and a dramatic voiceover announces the release of his new music, referencing his debut studio album, endless.
“The highly anticipated next studio album returns to where it all began: endless. but now…. Even more…infinite. Go out today,” he said as explosions and horns sounded.
“Out now,” the caption read.
Although the trailer was clearly a parody and humor, fans initially believed the news was real
“This is bordering on emotional abuse,” one commented, while another admitted, “I came back and excitedly checked out Apple Music and said you were cruel about this”
A third wrote: “You think you’re funny lol almost had a heart attack.”
