Elvish Yadav, a Bigg Boss OTT winner and YouTuber, stated in a recent video posted on Monday that Rajasthan Police escorted him to Jaipur for a shoot. However, the police disputed Yadav’s allegations.
In the footage, Yadav and former Rajasthan minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas‘ son, who was driving the vehicle, were seen discussing the police escort and pointing to a vehicle ahead of them.
In the video published on Facebook, Yadav said, “Rajasthan Police was taking care of me throughout the day,” and pointed to a vehicle in front of him, saying, “This is the gypsy”.
The ex-minister’s son informed him that the police vehicle belonged to a local station and that a permanent vehicle would be joining them soon.
However, the Rajasthan Police dismissed the claim. Rameshwar Singh, Additional Commissioner of Police shared that Yadav did not receive an escort vehicle.
He also stated that escorts are typically provided in accordance with particular protocols, and that they are examining the situation.
It was reported that an FIR was registered against Elvish Yadav at the cyber police station for allegedly posting a “fake video” and tarnishing the image of Rajasthan Police.
Yadav travelled to Jaipur on February 8 to film a song in Sambhar. He also recorded a vlog during his visit, which he shared on his YouTube page. The vlog included a video of Yadav and Krishnavardhan Singh following a police vehicle out of traffic unhindered. At another time, the vlog showed a police vehicle driving ahead of them.
Former minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, a Congress leader, told reporters that neither he nor his son had requested police protection. “Elvish Yadav has often visited me, and as a politician, I meet a lot of people. My government is not in power so, I do not know who has asked for an escort or why the police vehicle was escorting him. Neither my son nor I have asked for an escort. One should ask the state government or Elvish what was going on with the police vehicles… The issue is stretched too much,” Khachariyawas said.
