He said that a database of Group B and above officers is being prepared for this purpose.
“These micro observers will digitally scrutinize the counting forms uploaded by the BLOs, scrutinize the documents submitted by voters and observe the hearing proceedings to identify any discrepancy,” said an official from the CEO office.
He said that the micro observers will also assist the voter list observers and special voter list observers.
He said the District Magistrate will provide logistical support and security to the micro observers, who will be given appropriate remuneration for the period of their appointment till February 16.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Manoj Kumar Aggarwal said that micro observers will reach the state soon.

When asked how many officers would be appointed as micro observers, he said it would be made public later.
“They will come in batches and start working from this month,” he said.
Another official said micro observers would attend the hearing after Christmas.
“There will be around 3,000 micro observers,” he said.
