In a sensational murder case, an elderly woman was beaten to death by her neighbors on Wednesday in Dalpur district of Rajasthan. After the incident, the defendant fled the scene. Police are now looking for the accused.
The murder took place in Delpurbari area. Giving information about the incident, SHO of Kanchanpur police station Shaitan Singh told PTI that Ramo Devi Jatav, a resident of Bari area, got into an argument with his neighbors over a petty dispute.
According to the person in charge of the police station, 7 or 8 people entered the old woman’s home after the incident. All of them allegedly beat the elderly woman with sticks until she lost consciousness. Thereafter, when the woman was taken to the hospital, doctors declared her dead.
SHO Shaitan Singh further said that after the post-mortem, the body of the old woman was handed over to her family members for the last rites. He said a search was on for the absconding criminals.
