An 82-year-old woman and a 77-year-old man died after a two-vehicle collision in UXBridge on Thursday afternoon.
Durham Regional Police says The accident occurred at around 2:30 pm at the intersection of Sanford Road and UXBRIDEGE Concession Road 6. Investigators report that a dump truck traveling east on Sanford Road collided with a north side of the sedan.
Emergency respondents arrived, but despite their life -saving efforts, the female driver of the sedan was declared dead on the spot. The male passenger was taken to a local hospital, where he later died of injuries.
The driver of the dump truck remained at the scene and was treated for minor injuries.
The intersection was closed for several hours as a result of the conflict investigation.
The police relates to the incident related to information or dashakam footage from anyone, as the investigation is on.
