Eight Pakistani workers killed by Baloch terrorists in Iran

According to a media report on Sunday, eight workers from Pakistan’s Punjab province of Pakistan were killed by Baloch militants in Sista-Baluchistan province of Iran.

Dawn newspaper said that the tragic incident took place on Saturday in a village in Mehristan district.

Iranian officials confirmed the murder of Pakistani citizens, saying that the victims resided from Bahawalpur and worked at a car repair shop.

All the eight -killed Pakistan belonged to the city of Bahawalpur in southern Punjab, Iranian officials said they were living in the workshop where they used to do dent, polish, paint and repair cars.

According to reports, unknown armed men entered the workshop at night and tied their hands and feet. He then fired indiscriminately and killed him.

The attackers fled after killing eight Pakistani workers. After receiving information about the tragic incident, Irani reached the police area.

In a statement issued to the media, a spokesperson of the banned Balochistan National Army (BNA) claimed responsibility for the assassination of eight Pakistanis.

Iranian officials have said that the Iranian police was investigating the incident.

This was the second such incident in Syston Balochistan. In January last year, armed people killed nine Pakistanis in Saravan City, who were also working as a motor mechanics in Iran and living in a workshop.

Local groups in Pakistan and Iran are part of a decades long struggle for over -autonomy in Balochistan.

In January last year, Iran attacked Pakistan. Pakistan retaliated with a missile strike inside the Iranian region, increasing the border tension.

Iran claimed that it was targeting Jaish al-Adal, a militant group operating against Iran, while Pakistan said it was a target of “hide” of two terrorist groups inside the Iran, Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF).

Pakistan’s Balochistan has been struggling with extremism and unrest for a long time. Local people, especially Baloch, have convicted governments for exploitation and profiteering from Balochistan’s resources, neglecting the development of the region.
