Union Minister Jitendra Singh said on Saturday that rescue and relief operations in Kishtwar killed the district earlier this week, continued “Well last midnight” after the death of more than 60 people.
On Thursday, a large -scale Claudbers in Kishtwar district killed Chasoti village. The incident along the Machal Mata Yatra route triggered flash floods and widespread destruction, causing heavy casualties between Yatris and residents.
In a post on X, Singh wrote, “It is well lasting at midnight, and rescue relief operations are going on in full swing. I am deeply appreciated by the courageous efforts of military, paramilitary forces, Jammu -Kashmir Police and administration. I am a bad weather.”
The minister also thanked the local residents, who were the first to respond to a sudden disaster.
“The same appreciation is due to local residents, who were first to swing in action on the afternoon of August 14 when surprised by deadly cloudbukes,” he wrote on X.
Singh said that it was convinced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was personally monitoring the situation.
“The idea may be more confident that PM Sh @narendramodi is individually monitoring the situation. Infected, it was only after 2014 that with the intervention of the Center, the holy Machal travel area was provided with basic facilities like road connectivity, mobile towers, power, drinking water and toilets.”
Singh said in his message, “All help is being provided to be affected. But dear people cannot get back … 53 bodies have already been recovered and officially declared dead. To think how many and the debris are still buried and how many immediately those deadly are washed within those deadly 15 seconds.”
Meanwhile, the Army, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), along with local police and district administration, are conducting rescue operations in Chasoti village in Kishtwar district after a disastrous flash flood by a Claudbst. (AI)
