ED attaches property of Yuvraj Singh, Sonu Sood and others in betting case

The assets of former Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Robin Uthappa, besides former TMC MP Mimi Chakraborty and actor Sonu Sood, worth over Rs 1,000 crore, have been seized by the ED in a money laundering case linked to an ‘illegal’ betting app, official sources said on Friday (December 19).

According to sources, properties of actor Neha Sharma, model Urvashi Rautela’s mother and Bengali actor Ankush Hazra have also been attached after the federal probe agency issued a provisional order under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

These include properties worth approx. 1 crore of interest, Chakraborty’s 59 lakhs, Yuvraj Singh’s 2.5 crores, Sharma’s 1.26 crores, Uthappa’s 8.26 lakhs, Hazra’s 47 lakh more

Sources said that Rautela’s mother has Rs 2.02 crore.

All these personalities were questioned by the ED recently and these assets have been classified as ‘proceeds of crime’ (illicit money under PMLA) of the alleged illegal betting app named 1xbet, registered in Curacao.

The agency had seized the property some time ago Under this investigation, Rs 11.14 crore of former cricketers Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina.
