ECI Rebuts AAP allegations are accused of voter name deletion in Delhi

New Delhi, 19 September (IANS) ECI on Friday denied the charge of illegal deletion of voters’ names in the city of Delhi Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) President Saurabh Bhardwaj on Friday, saying that it had responded to similar allegations by his party’s ally Atikash in January.

A statement released by the Poll Panel said, “In the context of the press conference organized by Saurabh Bhardwaj today, it has been said that ECI had sent a detailed reply to 76 pages, including 7 annexers, which included CEO/DEO report on 13.01.2025 The then CM was included in the then CM of Delhi.”

The Election Commission of India (ECI) in its statement on X attached the documents that were already provided to Atish, which rejected allegations of a dangerous increase in the list of voters of New Delhi assembly constituency – where former CM and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal lost the assembly election in February.

Earlier, Bhardwaj said in a press conference on Friday that the concerns related to manipulation in the voter list raised by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi were revealed by Kejriwal and Atirsi eight months ago.

Bhardwaj’s attack on ECI was also criticized by the Delhi BJP, which called it baseless.

Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said, “I challenge both Saurabh Bhardwaj and Arvind Kejriwal today: If you have courage and if your allegations take weight, file a formal complaint with the Election Commission with an affidavit. If you feel that they were your voters, you should make sure that they were your voters,”

The BJP president of Delhi said that for the last 26 years Delhi has been under the rule of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal and Congress, and everyone knows how they gave shelter to the intruders in the city.

He alleged that the Kejriwal government provided the entry of intruders into the capital using AC train tickets from West Bengal, and just before the election, when the Delhi Police launched a campaign, there was enough evidence on a large scale.

He clarified that people from all parts of India – whether Punjab, Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, or Haryana – have every right to live in Delhi, but in illegally or hiding anyone living here, and if the Election Commission initiates action against them, the BJP will always support such steps.

Sachdeva said that since the Election Commission announced the head. (Special intensive amendment) In Delhi, along with the rest of the country, Bhardwaz and AAP have developed a fear.

AAP leaders are afraid that fake voters nurtured and converted into a core vote bank by previous governments in Delhi, now it will be exposed. The BJP had increased the issue of fake voters in a fake manner during the elections, and the result of that effort is visible to everyone, the BJP leader said.
