Former Arsenal footballer Thomas Part has been accused of raping two women.
The Metropolitan police said the midfielder faced five rape cases and a count of sexual harassment after alleged crimes between 2021 and 2022.
Four days after leaving the North London Club, Ghana’s international was charged.
Police said the sexual attack belongs to a third woman.
The force said it was first received a report of rape charges in February 2022.
Hurtfordshire’s 32 -year -old parts, will be appearing in the Westminster Magistrate Court on 5 August.
Jaswant Narwal of CPS said: “Crown Prosecution Service today authorized the prosecution of Thomas parties for several rape cases – after carefully reviewing a comprehensive file of evidence.
“Our prosecutors have worked closely with officials in the Metropolitan Police, who have investigated the evidence to review and advise on appropriate allegations.
“We remind all that criminal action is active, and the defendant has the right to a fair testing.
“We know that there will be important public interest in this announcement, but it is absolutely important that there is no reporting, comment or shared to share online information, comments or information that can any way bias these proceedings.”
The Metropolitan police said the investigation into the Thomas part started in February 2022, when the officials first received the rape report.
Detective Superintendent Andy Furfi, whose team is leading the investigation, said: “Our priority provides support to women who have come forward.
“We will ask anyone who is affected by this matter, or whoever has information, to talk with our team.”
