Each DDC gets a development fund of Rs 10 crore, BDC gets Rs 25 lakh
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday unveiled a budget of Rs 1,08,621 crore for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for 2021-22 in the Lok Sabha.
The budget document shows that its focus is on good governance, socio-economic development of people, infrastructure construction and employment generation.
The budget documents read, “The budget of 2021-22 for Jammu and Kashmir will again cross the figure of Rs. 1 lakh crore, which is indicative and our commitment to make Jammu and Kashmir a model of development”
The total budget estimate for the next financial year is Rs 1,08,621 crore. Out of which Rs. 39,817 has been kept for capital expenditure and Rs 68,804 crore for revenue expenditure. This means that 37% of the budget will be spent on development and infrastructure projects.
