New Delhi, September 21 (IANS) chief Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan highlighted the role of India’s only operating joint service command Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC), which is in acquiring India’s interests in a two -day dialogue held at Shri Vijaya Puram, an official said on Sunday.
Development of ANC as a strategic hub and beyond ‘, the forum facilitates discussing India’s profile as a preferred security partner in the field.
The official said that the third edition of the Davip Dixit Dialogue held from 19 to 20 September also emphasized the growing importance of multi-domain warfare, gray-zone strategies and marine security.
The dialogue served as a platform to bring together the armed forces, diplomacy, academics, media and strategic affairs to discuss the unique role of ANC in shaping India’s maritime and security currency in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).
The prominent speakers included Commander-in-Chief ANC (Cinan) Lieutenant General Dinesh Singh Rana and Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lt Governor of Admiral DK Joshi, its deep importance was in promoting dialogue between officers, veterans, analysts and leaders who served their deep importance.
Former head of Naval Staff and first Sinon Admiral Arun Prakash (Retad); Former Cincan Lieutenant General Ajai Singh, (RETD); Rear Admiral Monty Khanna (Retad); Lieutenant General Rajiv Gai, Deputy Chief (Strategic) of Army employees and former Flag Officer Vice Admiral Anil Chawla (Rated) also participated in the discussions.
Beyond the formal discussions, Dialogue served as a platform to promote long -term strategic thinking, exposed emerging regional challenges, and conceived the future projection of India’s defense and safety capabilities, said in the statement.
Installed in 2023, Deep Dixit Dialogue reflects the development of ANC from a dynamic operation and geographically isolated outposts in the intellectual hub, capable of affecting policy, operating plan and regional stability.
Dialogue confirms the position of ANC as a hub for professional military education, operational experiment and joint-service cooperation.
The official statement stated that through these busyness, the ANC IOR has been in the form of a decisive anchor for the national interests of India, guiding the country’s maritime strategy for the coming decades, in the official statement.
