Durga Puja festival concluded with a brilliant carnival in Kolkata in Bengal

Kolkata, 5 October (IANS) Kolkata saw a magnificent Durga Puja Carnival on Sunday as around 113 prize winners Pooja committees displayed their idols, artistry and creativity in the Red Road in the city.

Durga Puja Carnival marked the end of the Durga Puja festival in West Bengal.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the carnival, in which Bengali film and television industry, government officials, state ministers and members of other dignitaries participated.

Carnival was held on a red road stretch between Fort William and Akashwani Bhavan. The program performed the idols of Durga, dance performed, which depicted the rich culture and tradition of West Bengal before the immersion of the idols in Babughat.

After attending the ceremony, Banerjee also played ‘Dhak’ (traditional Bengali drum).

This year, Sribhumi Sporting, Balliganj Cultural, Jodhpur Park, Ajay Sanghati, Pratapaditya Road Tricon Park, Bhavanipur 75 Pali, Ramamilani, Jubit Sanshani Kalighat, Dumdam Tarun Dal, Shiv Mandan, Kanjon, Shiv Mandan, Shiva Mandan, Shiv Mandan, Kanjon, Kandan, Kandan Dal Kolkata and Alakata police Bodyguard lines are some participants.

Hundreds of spectators, including residents, dignitaries of foreign consulates and international tourists, were present at Carnival.
