Due to falling temperature in Delhi-NCR, the weather is cold, fog has started appearing.

Noida: The weather in Delhi-NCR has taken a U-turn, the temperature is continuously falling from the last week of October to the first week of November. Light fog has started appearing over many parts of the region, indicating the arrival of early winter conditions.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature is likely to remain between 30 to 31 degrees Celsius in the coming days, while the minimum temperature may fall to around 17 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels are expected to range between 50 to 90 percent, resulting in foggy morning and evening hours.

According to the IMD forecast, the maximum temperature on October 29 is expected to be 28 degrees Celsius, minimum 18 degrees Celsius and light fog conditions are expected. Light fog is likely to persist on October 30, with temperatures hovering around 30 degrees (maximum) and 18 degrees (minimum).

Smog is also predicted from October 31 to November 3, causing temperatures to gradually drop to 30 and 17 degrees Celsius respectively.

Meanwhile, the level of pollution in Delhi-NCR has already reached the serious category. Meteorologists have warned that the combination of falling temperatures and falling wind speeds could further thicken the dense mix of smog, haze and pollutants. This is likely to reduce visibility in the morning and late evening, causing inconvenience to passengers.

Health experts have warned that smog can increase respiratory problems such as asthma, bronchitis and eye irritation, especially in vulnerable groups.

At present, IMD has not made any forecast of rain in this area. The weather is expected to remain dry throughout the week, with light fog and mist likely to persist in the morning due to moisture and pollution.

Experts advise senior citizens and children to exercise caution during morning walks, wear a mask if necessary and follow pollution safety measures. Meteorologists also predict that the cold will increase after the first week of November and the minimum temperature is likely to drop further.
